Abstract

Introduction
Immunization is one of the most effective and cost-effective health measures for controlling infectious diseases. This study developed and implemented a questionnaire to determine COVID-19 vaccine acceptance among healthcare workers (HCWs) in Visakhapatnam, India, and to study the influence of medically attended adverse events (MAEs) experienced by them on their willingness to consider taking the second vaccine dose. The purpose of the study was to evaluate safety and immunogenicity of the COVAXIN® and COVISHIELD® vaccines in HCWs aged ?18 years and their attitudes towards vaccination based on their own experiences.
