Results : In Eclampsia 62% of women were between 21 – 25 years age. 76% were primigravida. 96% of cases
were unbooked cases. 86% of women were discharged healthy with 14% of maternal mortality rate. Maternal
complication rate was 36% & 26% of perinatal death rate.
Conclusion : Eclampsia is associated with higher rates of maternal morbidity and mortality and this still remains a
major contributor to maternal mortality and morbidity in developing countries like India.
